Chinese Restaurant Great Wall Buffet in Mount Pleasant

Although the floor was sticky, the food was phenomenal. Loved the Rangoons, coconut chicken, and seafood delight. Tasted like most of their food was made by hand, a rarity in a Chinese restaurant. Will go back to again!

Nothing special about this place. Just a place to get a quick meal at a cheap price. Food is edible, but not great, Wait staff are friendly but the owner lady not so much. Not even a thank you after paying the bill.

So very happy they decided to reopen,😋!

I called yesterday to ask if they use MSG in their food considering I wanted to eat here, however; I’m allergic and wanted to make sure they did not use it. The man on the phone said “i’m not sure.” so I asked if he could ask a cook or a manager if they do. He came back to the phone a few minutes later and said “I can’t find out, but I think so.” ?? Shouldn’t an employee, manager, or cook know what they’re putting in the food?? So, I called again today to speak to a manager and the woman on the phone was very rude and said, “the manager isn’t here and I don’t know when they will be so what do you want?” I hung up because I will not be giving my money to rude employees who do not even know what they’re serving to customers.

Best Chinese in Mt. Pleasant. I take one style for the lack of customer service. The staff never mingle with the customers they need to be a little bit more English friendly so of speak.

Really fresh & delicious food, with a very good variety! Great service too!! The only thing I was sad not to see in their buffet was egg foo young, but otherwise I definitely recommend them & look forward to returning!!

I am not really a buffet person but they have a wonderful variety. The food is always hot and fresh. So many times at Chinese buffets everything tastes the same. Not so here. The sauteed vegetables were and delicious. I had chicken and broccoli, beef and onions and seafood casserole . I love their potstickers. They are tender and delicious.

Got food poisoning from this place last night. 1/4/20 good luck

Typical Chinese buffet. We went on a Friday around 8 p.m. and there were several patrons still, so food was being replenished. Noodles were dry & old. Sweet & sour sauce was nearly empty. I love Crab rangoon, but not their recipe. Everything else was delicious. Wait staff did not ask if we needed refills of drinks.

From a chef point of view the food was old yeah you are re filling with fresh but when you dump the old stuff from 3 pans ago on top Kind of defeating the purpose Of keeping stuff fresh sanitary. I came here to eat because my good friend wanted this place this was all I had to eat for the day and let me tell you I've been to the Toilet about 5 times good luck if you eat here.

Surprisingly good! All of the chicken, beef and multiple shrimp dishes were hot, cooked to perfect tenderness and enjoyable. The decor may be dated, but the food was fresh, tasty and an amazing bargain. A small town gem.

Very dirty inside. Buffet food was only warm, not hot at all. A disappointing visit.

Be careful of this place.We all got messed up stomachs from eating here. Didn't even get half way down the road. The price and other reviews is why we decided to give it a try. Can't say we will be returning because we won't be.... Ever again....

It was a all you can eat buffet. The kids liked it. There was icecream for after the meal. The wait staff made sure are plates were cleared from are table quickly.

Was very busy but they kept the buffet full and food was very good

Great all you can eat buffet. I mainly come here just for the Chicken Wings they are probably the best in I have had.

It’s under $10 for the dinner buffet but they don’t have crab legs or sushi. The ice cream doesn’t have toppings and the pudding was on the warm side. The fried donuts and crab ragoons were great. Everything else not so much. Thank God we don’t live here because we wouldn’t be back.

Fresh food. Great selection. Friendly staff. AWESOME prices. I always leave with a fatter belly and needing a nap, never grumbling about something I didn't like.

The food taste pretty good, though I've stuck religiously to the sweet and sour and the rice and lo mein, this is because I've known about 5 or 6 people who've gotten sick from this place. I have also heard some pretty nasty rumors about the state of their kitchen, and considering how dirty the front of house is, I'm inclined to believe them. Staff all act like they just don't to exist, which is fine but its kinda depressing to eat there. If you want all you can eat sweet and sour with rice and lo mein then its great. Otherwise, pray you dont get sick like I do.

Like the price and buffet there, many varieties of food to pick from. People there are attentive

If can I will give them 0 star. the food was old and not fresh, im go to Toilet So many time after I eat food from that restaurant. I hope they don’t put bat and snack in the food. good luck if you eat here

Hot food ready when your hungry big selection, always good food ,and ya can eat all ya want 😁

This is my favorite Chinese food. I only have one complaint and it's the crab ragoon ,there is no pride in there appearance like the other foods.

Basic food and a bit confused as to what Chinese food is...when we went the buffet included garlic bread, Mac and Cheese and Calamari a la Romagne etc.

The food was good but it wasn't real hot and neither was the hot tea.

I love the Great Wall! Food is always fresh, and restaurant is very clean. And the staff are very courteous.

Great food, was excited to go, waited for bus for an hour to find out their HOURS ON GOOGLE ARE WRONG. said sat open until 1030, when got the DOORS WERE LOCKED, BUT THE DOOR ADVERTISEMENT SAID OPEN UNTIL 10,IT WAS 940, Please don't do that to paying customers..

Its just one of my favorite places to go eat.

If you've tried it once, you'll know what to expect. Broken English and relatively decent food. The lack of change is a good thing.

Excellent Chinese buffet. It was affordable, had an amazing variety and was very good. I will go back soon and would recommend it to all.

Don't know what happened to this place... There food use to be mouth watering. Please bring the old chef back. The last 3 times I ate there I was so disappointed...

There prices our excellent and the service to get a gift certificate for Special occasion the young lady explained all the options and we had a certificate less then 5 minutes.

Nothing compares to the buffets I am used to growing up in FL but now being in a little Michigan town this Chinese buffet is the best one within reasonable distance. Worth the money. You want to go when they are busy so the food is fresh

Plenty to eat and most everything hot and fresh. Price was good. Get there before 4 for best price. Will plan to try again on another trip.

Very good and cheap. A little something for everyone at the buffet. If it's lunch price, I can feed me, wife and our 2 kids for $22.

People are starting to get even more rudeEDIT 3 WEEKSSS LATER. They refuse to give my boyfriend, I and our 6 month daughter a booth. Instead they insitst the booth section is closed and we have to sit in the busiest area with my infant in her car seat ON THE FLOOR. K.
